Am vergangenen Sonntag fand das jährliche Treffen der Hollywood-Abteilung der Schauspielergewerkschaft SAG in Los Angeles statt. Obwohl Nominierungen für das Amt des Gewerkschaftspräsidenten möglich waren, hat bisher nur ein Kandidat seine Absicht erklärt. Und selbst dieser könnte zugunsten eines populäreren Bewerbers zurückziehen.

She'll be part of the IDW panel on July 25th, talking about her character's appearance in Angel #24 and 25. She's co-writing the issues with Bryan Lynch. She'll also signing autographs at the IDW booth on the 24th and 25th.

Sci Fi is developing a new take on "Alien Nation," the 1988 feature that previously spawned a spinoff series on Fox.
"Angel" alum Tim Minear — no stranger to sci-fi tales, having worked on "The X-Files," "Firefly" and "Strange World" — is penning the fresh take on the franchise. Fox 21, the alternative production arm of 20th Century Fox TV, will produce.
"Alien Nation" centers on the partnership between a veteran cop and his alien detective partner, set against the larger tale of alien.

Am vergangenen Wochenende wurden in Los Angeles die Black Entertainment Television-Awards vergeben. Damit werden Künstler und Athleten ausgezeichnet, die aus der afro-amerikanischen Gemeinschaft stammen. In diesem Jahr geriet die Zeremonie zum Tribut für Michael Jackson.

With its sanguine exploration of teen and twentysomething sexuality, the urban fantasy genre is going from strength to strength – a certain cheerleader would be proud.
It's six years since the final episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer was first transmitted. That, you might have thought, was that. After seven seasons, we'd surely had enough of bloodsuckers.
Except it hasn't turned out that way. It's not just that, in 2007, Dark Horse Comics unleashed "season eight" of Buffy.

As you might know, Kevin Smith's next project is the film A Couple of Dicks, over at Warner Brothers. The last news we heard from the project was that WB — the studio that, inarguably, has the biggest balls on the block— decided to keep the original title rather than dumb it down. Now we have some real news in the form of additional cast members.
First up is Michelle I-could-talk-more-about-this-woman-had-I-ever-watched-Buffy Trachtenberg, who will be playing the daughter of Bruce Willis'.
